RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process through which non-baptized men and women enter the Catholic Church.
It includes several stages marked by study, prayer and rites at Mass. The time required to complete the journey may vary, depending upon the background and circumstances of the individual. As each human is unique, each RCIA journey may be unique.
At Santa Maria Goretti, the RCIA program begins at the end of September and continues until Easter. There are weekly Zoom Meetings on Monday evenings and attendance and participation are mandatory. In addition to the weekly gatherings, the RCIA shares in the life of the Church expressed in a local faith community. For participants, the RCIA offers a way to grow in knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Catholic faith in company with others on a similar journey.
All are most welcome. For more information or to register, please contact Sister Sumy at the Parish Office. RCIA enrollment forms can be accessed here:
- RCIA Form 612A (for adults)
- RCIA Form 612B (for children / minors)
More information on the RCIA process can be found on the Archdiocese website.
